FixMyPrompt
A production SaaS I built and shipped that turned vague ideas into professional, structured prompts. Users climbed an ELO ladder by writing better prompts, worked through a 561+ challenge library and an 18-module prompt engineering academy, and paid through real payments.
By the Numbers
- 6-8K — Lines of Code
- 561+ — Challenges
- 18 — Academy Modules
- Shipped — Auth, payments and production deploy
The Problem
Most people interact with AI by typing vague, unstructured prompts — and get vague, generic responses. Prompt engineering is a learnable skill, but there was no structured way to practice it with feedback.
FixMyPrompt turned prompt writing into a game. Submit a prompt, get AI feedback, earn ELO points, climb ranks. The academy taught the fundamentals; the challenge library tested them.
Key Features
- ELO Gamification — A ranking system adapted from chess. Users earned and lost points on prompt quality, with a visible leaderboard and rank progression.
- 561+ Challenge Library — Prompt engineering challenges across difficulty tiers, from basic formatting to multi-step reasoning.
- 18-Module Academy — A structured curriculum covering prompt engineering fundamentals — role setting, context framing, constraint specification, output formatting, and chain-of-thought techniques.
- Real Payments — Lemon Squeezy handled subscriptions. It was a real product with real payment infrastructure, not a demo.
- AI-Powered Feedback — Gemini Flash-Lite scored each prompt and gave specific feedback on structure, clarity and effectiveness.
- Auth & Persistence — User accounts, progress tracking and persistent profiles on Supabase, so users picked up where they left off on any device.
